Eagles bound to repeat? Is Micah Parsons to the Packers the move to put them over the top? Will Matt Stafford stay healthy the whole year and keep the Rams in contention? So much to be answered from now until February. For now, here is my NFC Playoff picture for the 2025-2026 NFL Season.
NFC Division Winners
Philadelphia Eagles - Some question mark on their defense and another play caller for Jalen Hurts, but the core of the offense is still there and they are still the strongest overall team in the sport. It won't be an easy 1 seed though.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Sleeper team to snatch the 1 seed. Excellent offense, weakest division in the sport, and they do have the Eagles number in the playoffs in the last few years.
Los Angeles Rams - Slightly concerned for Stafford's health, but think he'll stay upright for most of the season. I trust McVay and the system he has built, Puka + Davante + Jared Verse and their young and hungry defense. Strong contender in the NFC.
Detroit Lions - Yes they lost both coordinators which I do not like, but I just trust the culture and their core of players more than I do the Packers. Bears and Vikings QB/offensive questions. Lions will fall back a bit maybe 10-11 wins.
NFC Wild Card
Green Bay Packers - They have a real shot at the division, upgrading on the outside with Matthew Golden and the pass rush obviously with Micah Parsons. I don't fully trust Jordan Love I do like their run game and passing schemes, but I don't love the rest of the NFC options for wild card.
Washington Commanders - The oldest average team in the sport, however their QB and leader is only in his 2nd year. I think Dan Quinn is an underrated head coach. I still think they will be hanging around but maybe take a step back like the Texans did with 2nd year QB Stroud.
New York Giants - My surprise playoff team in the NFC. They may start 3 different QBs this year, at least 2 most likely. I like they rebuilt their QB room, lots of people post-draft questioned Jaxson Dart getting picked so high in the draft, but after a good preseason, more people are bought in like me. I think 9 wins is reasonable.
NFC Championship
Eagles over Bucs
The Bucs are my pick to make real noise after only losing by a field goal to Washington in last year's playoffs. But yeah give me the more talented bird squad.
Super Bowl
Eagles over Chiefs
"Oh you are just biased!" Yeah for the team that put up almost 100 points in the NFC Chip and Super Bowl respectively.
